It’s been a busy two weeks for the Yimi Sport / Jager Racing Time Attack Team. First we made the trek out to Atlanta to compete in Global Time Attack at Road Atlanta. After an overly event haul out to the event and the car arriving only a few hours before the first session we managed to work through a few minor issues and Mark Jager started to familiarize himself with a track he had never seen outside of Forza. Lap times started to drop and Mark’s comfort with the somewhat blind corner entries due to the large elevation changes of the track grew. Thankfully the rain largely stayed away and we felt confident that we would be able to challenge the Street Class record set two years ago by Professional Awesome. Of course, taking down a record set by such a well conceived, built and driven car is no small task. In the end we came just 1 sec short of our goal but still walked away very pleased with a first place finish in Street AWD and the overall Street Class Championship.

This past weekend brought us to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA for Round 3 of Redline Time Attack. This track configuration for this event was the Infield course rather than the full sports car Roval that we already hold the class record for. After a few laps to learn the track we were ready to attack the clock. Even faced with some stern competition from some serious hardware (ZR1 with aero on slicks, LS swapped FD with over 1000 whp on R-Comps) we held the fastest time of the day at 1:10.1 up until the last possible moment when our friend Will Wattanawongkiri busted off an incredible 1:07.x to take the overall event championship in his Modified Class 240SX. Still, for a Street Class car on relatively narrow 200TW tires to run the second fastest official time of the day, to go along with our Street AWD and Overall Street Class wins, we were more than thrilled. That makes two straight wins this year at RTA, we’ll see if we can keep our streak alive next month at Willow Springs International Raceway. We set a Street Class record there last year. Looking to go even faster this year with the new setup.RTA round 3 also brought the third straight dominant performance in the Enthusiast AWD class for Ken Kasitz of Koherent Chassisworkz. Ken wheeled his his lightly modified and daily driven WRX to an incredibly impressive 1:13.9. This handily captured the Enthusiast AWD and Overall Enthusiast Class Championship.
We would be remiss not to thank our many partners. Without their support, we would not have been able to get to where we are today.  Borg Warner Turbo SystemsFull-Race MotorsportsScat Crankshafts, gtspec,Aeromotive Fuel SystemsSupertechSouth Bend ClutchSocal Porting,Killer B MotorsportACL Performance BearingsFuel Injector ClinicJE PistonsMackin Industries Inc.Rays EngineeringGSC Power-Division, Outfront Motorsports, Ginormous Design Group, Koherent Chassisworkz,Bryan Wasp Composites10294323_10152158165958182_6208332962515599456_n 10299923_10152158163278182_4132911669836559078_n 10300000_10152158165468182_5633643432736606087_n 10306234_10152158164058182_1263019493451241625_n 10385606_10152158161943182_3966921019366951548_n 10390096_10152158160208182_4121218369725045260_n 10393669_10152158158083182_4898462692741714088_n
